Great people to deal with. You deal directly with the owners of this small business. Sam guided me through the process to more easily determine where our pool leak was. They were able to come sooner than expected and found the leak and repaired it. They dont do anything but leak detection and repair so they dont try to sell anything else that isnt needed. NJ Pool Patcher was excellent. I had to reschedule an appointment and they were so accommodating and friendly. I could tell they had plenty of experience, and despite being so busy, they fit us in. They found our problem right away and it took only about 15 minutes. Our line is crimped by a tree root. We actually enjoyed their visit as they were so friendly and fun, as well as knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend them as highly as I possibly can.

Ed came on time and did a thorough job testing my pool for any and all leaks. He tested the liner and plumbing. He found one leak in a water return line and was able to repair it on the same visit, saving me money. He was knowledgable and professional. Great job Ed, thanks.

Ed and Samantha are the bomb! They came out next day after I called to tell them about my water loss. They diagnosed a few minor problems and fixed them (in spite of the ginormous spiders) and were able to identify the large source of water loss past one of my skimmers. They recommended I that I shut the skimmer down for the season and run on one skimmer and fix after the season. I never had a better pool water season for swimming! With the loss of one skimmer, I had sparkling water all season as they predicted. They returned to fix it and the fix was bigger than anticipated so they located a pool company to come out and hand over the job. Ed and Samantha are super chill and the nicest people. They are the only ones to call for a leak!

Legit 5 Star business. They were responsive, helpful, timely and even came out late Sunday afternoon to service my pool. They were able to diagnosis the leak in my pool quickly and were able to repair it the same day! all for a fair price. Both Sam and Ed spent time on the phone with me walking me through some testing they wanted me to do before coming out. I spoke to them several times and never felt rushed or dismissed. For a year or so, my husband and I have been concerned that we have seen our pool water diminish very slowly and suspected a small leak. The water level between closing in the Fall to Opening in the Spring is significant. Pool Patcher was able to fit us into their busy schedule pretty quickly and determined our problem. I have an older cement pool and a few days ago the water level started going down 1 1/2 inches a day. I was horrified. After trying to isolate the source, it became obvious that I had no way to find the leak, let alone fix it. Yesterday, Sunday morning, it was 8 am when I called this company and left a message. I was pleasantly surprised when Samantha returned my call an hour later from her car with her husband Ed. We spoke for a bit and after explaining my problem to them, Ed gave me some initial instructions and asked that I call him back after following them with the results. That evening, with water still dropping I called Ed again and he promised to squeeze me in today, Monday at 10 am.
He and Sam arrived right on time and got to work. Within 2 hours he had found the leak ( it was in the main bottom drain ), put his scuba gear on and dove in to find and fix the exact problem. As we speak, my pool filter is running, the water level is steady. A problem that I thought was going to take weeks to even diagnose was fixed 24 hours after my first call to this great small business.

Ed came over, listened for noises in plumbing and plumbing connections, discovered where the leak was, and fixed it……all in one visit! Very friendly and professional. And knowledgeable.

Found the leak in 5 minutes, patched it been good since. It’s been over a month now. Good quality patch that will not come off. After they found the hole they still went over the whole pool 20×40 with a deep end and checked for any additional leaks. My liner is 10 years old but in really good shape. Would recommend these guys to anybody!!

I moved into a house with a pool that had constant issues, leaks, etc. After spending thousands of dollars and using numerous different pool companies, these guys finally solved my problem. If I can give this company 10 stars I would. First , Sam and Ed are the kindest most professional people I have ever met. I have been battling a pool issue since last year and no one seemed to get it right. I was losing so much water in my pool, I was sure it would cost me tens of thousands of dollars to fix. From the very first call Sam put me at ease and I knew I found the right company to save me. They scheduled me for an appointment almost immediately, showed up on time and within 30 minutes located the issue. They took the time to explain everything that was going on and got me running. They could have easily suggested a fix that would have required me to pay thousands of dollars more. I love these people. I was having issues with my pool pump, which was the result of some kind of problem underground. Pool companies, including the one Ive been using for years, would barely even come out to give me an estimate – and the ones who did wanted a fortune to rip everything up without even attempting to isolate the problem (and thats if and when they could even fit the job in). And I almost paid it!!! I stumbled onto the NJ Pool Patcher website and figured Id give it a ditch effort before I dumped a ton of cash at this thing. Sam and Ed showed up when no one else would even call me back. Aside from the fact that I was pretty amazed by all of their leak detection gadgets, what blew
my mind was that they were able to locate a hole in my line underground the size of what seemed like a grain of rice. Ed literally lifted up one single paver on my patio, and there was the leak. I couldnt believe the precision they managed to achieve. They are honest, on time, responsive and a truly trustworthy team. Not too mention, they saved me about 4 thousand dollars of unnecessary work – not including the mess Id have to clean up afterward! Our pool was having multiple issues w pressure, filtration, suction-you name it…and thought it was going to cost us an arm and a leg to get straightened out. We were referred to Ed and couldnt be ANY happier! He came out, located the issue immediately and realized that everything was all bc termites had begun to eat through a small section of flex pipe (wood based apparently). Their pricing is beyond fair, their workmanship is excellent and their customer service is outstanding. Cant say enough good things about them and their work!!!!

Poolpatcher was great!!! They were quick to reply to our call and to come fix our leak, even in their busy season! Incredible technology- they checked the entire pool so we know they got the leak. Ed noticed a lump where the leak was and explained it could be a rock that would get progressively worse. He put on his scuba gear and checked it out and found a 2x 2 pc of broken PVC ( debris, not one of our lines) it had jagged edges and would have sliced our liner open eventually. We are so happy / not cheap but better than replacing a liner – ours is only 6 yrs old. We would absolutely use them again. The bonus is Sam & Ed are nice and personable, and efficient in their work . ????

I wish I knew about this company sooner! They answered right away and had something on the schedule within 3 days! We had multiple companies come to our pool to determine why we were losing water. No one could pinpoint the issue until the Pool Patcher team came. They determined our liner was fine and it was actually an issue with how our stairs settled. They fixed the issue the same day for a competitive price and everything is on the up and up! Would highly recommend if you are experiencing and water loss or issues.

A great experience! They came out to help open our pool that hasn’t been touched in almost 3 years, smelled like death, and got it up and running for our family. They even gave us money saving tips, instructions on how to run the pool to avoid the high cost of maintenance contracts, and any follow up information we would need they would just be a phone call away. FYI they specialize in Leak Repair so doing this work was out of their normal activities but realized we needed the help so they came and did everything we needed. I would recommend them to all, those who want to run their pools themselves for their knowledge with experience and those who want the hand free professional care.

Highly recommend him. He came within 24 hours of calling about a pool leak. He found it and repaired it just like he said he would. A while after he left I noticed another problem that seemed unrelated to the leak. When I explained the problem he came back the very next day and knew exactly where to look and how to fix that too… which he did without any additional charge. I contacted Pool Patchers after being told by Pool Company “10 year old liner…replace it” I left them a message, they called back promptly. I made appointment and they KEPT the appointment. They found 1 small hole in 15 minutes, patched it, checked for more just in case. Great work, and great people. They even said my liner is in good shape. So don’t assume you need a new liner until you meet with these people!!!

I actually was calling another pool repair company but dialed wrong #. The young lady who answered (I’m bad with names)…was soo polite and asked me what I needed. I sent pics of water level. She gave me time frame of when they could
come out. Husband and wife came as stated on time. Used something to detect leaks and repaired all same day…may 8th. With scuba gear on. I had emptied my above ground and scrubbed with push broom. ???? . Amazed they repaired all. I venture to say other companies may have recommended new liner. But they told me albeit my mishap..liner in great shape. Price quoted over phone is what I was charged. The Wife and Husband team did great ????. Call them now!!!!!!

After dealing with our local pool company due to an extreme leak in our inground pools vinyl liner and having no success in detection, I contacted NJ Pool Patcher. In contacting them I was extremely impressed with their quick response time. After initial evaluation and a self testing where I was given instruction on how to perform the testing (to save the customer money?) a large hole was detected and repaired. This company is knowledgeable, dependable and has integrity. I have already recommended them to a person having a problem with their pool and will continued to do so. Professional, courteous, prompt, and great at communicating the process, timing of their services, explanation of their findings, and what our next steps should be for fixing our pool leaks. I highly recommend you contact them if you have any concerns with your pool losing water. We nearly put a new liner in without having our pool tested, and found that the leak(s) were in the STAIRS, not the liner itself. We would have been out $$$ for a new liner and still had leaks. These guys are the best and very professional. When I opened my pool for the season, they initially found 11 holes in my vinyl liner and patched them up in about an hour. I say “initially” because I asked them to come back as the water level was still dropping after I had cleaned out the pool. After a couple of days, they came back and found an additional 2 holes and a major tear in the deepest part of the pool, which was probably caused by my automated vacuum as per Ed. They patched it up in less than an hour and did not charge me for the second visit!!!! Excellent customer service, and highly recommended!!! Thanks again guys!!!

I have an inground pool through a recent home purchase so I opened the pool a bit early to get it up and running to deal with any issues prior to pool season. I realized quickly after the opening and initial cleaning that my water level dropped from the top of the skimmer to the bottom of the skimmer within hours each time I refilled it and my heart sank as I imagined what my water bill is going to be if I keep refilling the pool at this rate.
I called Ed on a Sunday morning (of all days, right?) and within 2 hours he called me back, gave me a homework assignment to help isolate what my issue could be, and even apologized for asking me to refill my pool. However it was the last time I had to refill it!! They came by within days to do their inspection and found the exact issue, and provided us with fix immediately!

Enjoying pool once again

Came one day ahead of schedule, called to confirm and arrived exactly when they said they would. Extremely courteous and efficient. Found several leaks and repaired them quickly and efficiently for exactly how much I was quoted. I would never think to call anyone else next time I suspect a leak, and urge anyone who owns a pool to do the same.

I hired NJ Pool Patcher due to their experience in pool leak detection. We had significant water loss when our Polaris pool cleaner kicked on. We wanted to be sure no other areas were effected. Ed detected the exact location of the leak and assured us that the other areas of our pool (pool light, spa, returns, etc) were fine. He was courteous, clean, professional and gave us various options to consider for repairing. He had recommended a repair company, who we used and did a fabulous job in the repair. To date, have had no further water loss. I would highly recommend NJ Pool Patcher.

A truly professional organization that really knows their stuff. On first visit, they made a clear cut diagnosis of why and where the pool was leaking – cracked pipe under paver patio next to the pool. They pinned down the location of the crack exactly so patio disturbance was minimized. Quickly came back and cut out the bad section and spliced in new pipe in a way that was better than the initial install by the pool company.
You won’t find anyone better in NJ for sure.

Almost a week since the repair and haven’t lost a molecule of water it seems. Was losing almost an inch a day before the repair.

Very friendly and personable, drove from a long distance to make it to my house towards the end of the day. They meticulously searched for the leak and found it in a place I never would have thought. I cannot say anything but positive things for NJ Pool Patcher, LLC. Shortly after opening our pool we realized there was a loss of water that we’ve never seen before. Never having dealt with a situation like this before I searched the internet locally in NJ and found NJ Pool Patcher. Ed and Sam were very knowledgeable and their Facebook page also has a lot of visuals and good information on situations they’ve dealt with in the past for other customers. Ed spent time with me on the phone talking through things and in the end he said we were out of the area he normally covers. I asked if he could recommend someone in my area- Lumberton, NJ and he did. I did say that I felt extremely comfortable with him and his knowledge and especially with the fact that this is all they do— Leak Detection & related repairs. I knew Ed and Sam were the ones I wanted looking at my pool because of their experience and expertise. Ed called me back later and said if I could wait a few days he would come to Lumberton and check my pool out. He arrived and was cognizant of COVID-19 and social distancing which is appreciated right at the start. He and Sam outlined what they were going to do, discussed flat pricing for the services and proceeded to investigate the issues with my pool. In the end Ed and Sam found the problem areas and made their recommendations. This was absolutely a great experience with this company. My pool was closed up and winterized when I realized that I was loosing water. I apologize if I get the names wrong , but Ed and Max were great. They spent about 5 hours, in chilly weather, going over every inch of the pool. Several leaks were found and patched. Day two and the pool is still holding its level. They werent satisfied with two days of holding the level, they want me to check again in a few days, then let them know. Would highly recommend this company.

I had a leak in my pool and came across NJ pool patcher and saw all the great reviews so I decided to give them a call. Sam got back to me right away and had me do some tests to figure out if it was either the pipes or the shell of the pool. After the tests we determined it was definitely the shell of the pool. Sam was awesome she walked me through the all the steps and called back the next day to see where we were at with everything and what has to happen next. She scheduled me in for Saturday and once her and Ed arrived within 10 minutes they found the tear in my vinyl and immediately began to do the repair. Ed & Sam were both very professional and easy to talk with and they arent out to overcharge you for things you didnt need like other companies I called in the past. NJ Pool Patcher fixed a leak that had been getting worse over the past several years. Ed and Samantha were responsive and worked with me over the phone to narrow down the issue (saving all of us some time). Awesome service at a fair and transparent price (easily beating their competitors). I hope I don’t have another leak, but if I do, I’ll definitely go back to them!

A+ company! For the last couple of years my in ground pool has been experiencing extreme water loss. My regular pool company could not find any leaks (who knows if they even checked) and recommended that I use a water leveler to fix the water loss issue. Great service. Had a leak in my pool, had 6 different pool companies try to fix it they all wanted to sell me liners, filters, new pipes etc. Some wanted to excavate the yard and jackhammer concrete. Since our pool was installed several years ago, we have been experiencing leaks to the extent of 0.5″ water per day. Upon recommendation of a local pool supply company, I contacted NJ Pool Patcher late on Sunday afternoon and made an appointment with Sam for the following Wednesday. They came on-time, spent a couple of hours using several pieces and types of test equipment and identified the elusive leak (I think, as the repair has not been made yet, so I cannot confirm the results). I particularly liked the straightfoward and thorough explanation provided by owner Ed, with his having me actually listen to the instrumentation the same way he did. To be honest, I initially considered the price to be a little high, considering the amount of time spent on-site. However, considering the cost of their equipment, travel time and the potential savings if I can finally stop losing water, it is probably appropriate. Sam and Ed were reputable, professional and a pleasure to deal with, so I would definitely recommend them to help find pool (and other types of) leaks.

She immediately started asking questions to ascertain whether the pool was leaking from the liner or whether it had to do with the pump and returns. Ed employed technology using advanced leak detection which literally pinpointed where the water was escaping. Had we ignored the leak and let it continue the damage could have been considerable. I used NJ pool patcher after opening my pool and discovering half the water gone. As expected they found a leak in the steps along with a few other small leaks that they patched up.. very professional company and would highly recommend. They did a great job of fitting me in as soon as possible and we here for about an hour. Very detailed in there work. The level.of communication leading up to the appointment was exceptional. Very satisfied and would use again in the future if needed.

Very happy with NJ Pool Patcher. Sam and Ed came right away on Labor Day to check the pool and found about 7 holes and recommended a liner replacement due to the location of the holes. They did not even charge to patch as they recommended a liner replacement. Would absolutely use them again and will recommend to friends & family.

I was losing 1.5 inches of water per day, and was very happy with how they found 2 leaks without ever diving in water themselves. FANTASTIC! Ed and Sam are one-of-a-kind in the world of pool repairs and leaks. I was losing immeasurable amounts of water, like almost 4 inches every 12 hours!!!! WHAT?!?! I was at a loss and very discouraged. Thinking maybe a price tag of multiple thousands. Well… they have the equipment that no one has, amazing to watch! Found the leak in MINUTES! Repaired in MINUTES, and all that without even diving into the water, all from the side of the pool. CRAZY! And at a fraction of the cost. SO SO THANKFUL for them and the work they do. I recommend to any and all who need not only a quick fix but an ACTUAL PERMANENT fix that does not mean a new liner or ripping up your whole patio/lawn. I couldn’t believe the stories and the pics they shared. They can even find plumbing leaks in exacts spots so you can isolate only that place underground and fix it there. They are FRIENDLY, CLEAN, AND ORGANIZED, and they came to help within ONE DAY of calling, prompt and excellent service. Great to talk with and get to know as well. If a local pool repair/supply store tells you it will cost in excess of $10,000 to repair a broken pool line, don’t agree to it and CALL NJ POOL PATCHER IMMEDIATELY!!! Ed and Sam gave me an estimate and had the repair complete in a matter of a few days for LESS THAN $1,000. They are professional, courteous, and truthful in what it will take to repair your pool. Sam (and Ed) was outstanding! She was extremely busy during this pandemic Summer and wasn’t able to physically get up to north Jersey to see my pool. Instead we talked, texted and exchanged photos to troubleshoot the problem. She was VERY knowledgeable and willing to provide OUTSTANDING customer service.
