In that case we will refer a customer to a reputable company we work close with for LARGE repairs after we have diagnosed the issue.

Sometimes a repair is needed that requires a much larger fix. There are several factors that may contribute to the need for a larger fix in a pool leak repair, such as the age and condition of the pool, the severity of the leak, and the materials used in the original installation. For example, an entire line change is sometimes needed, but this is very rare.

While an entire line change is rare, it may be necessary if the damage is extensive and cannot be repaired through other methods. Installers may choose to put pipes within the concrete of a pool, so it has an eggshell-type protective encasement. This technique can make the pipes more durable, but also makes them more difficult to access and repair if needed. If a break occurs within this concrete shell, it becomes almost impossible to repair without changing the line. In these cases, the cost and effort required to repair the leak may make it more practical to simply replace the affected line.

Another example would be massive tree root intrusion. Preventing tree root intrusion through proper landscaping techniques and regular maintenance can help avoid this type of costly repair. Tree roots can crush pipes underground, and these roots can extend for many feet, making repairs impossible and more expensive than trying to accomplish a pipe repair within the tree roots.. If tree root intrusion is already a problem, we can assess the extent of the damage and recommend the best course of action.
